BIO-WEST recently responded to a 100 gallon diesel fuel spill in Nibley, Utah under a rapid response timeframe. The spill was caused by a fuel line break on a semi-truck. Approximately 4 cubic yards of contaminated soil from the shoulder of the highway was excavated and shipped off-site for treatment by aeration in a landfarm. The excavation was backfilled and compacted. Laboratory analyses of soil samples confirmed that all the contaminated soil had been excavated.
