San Antonio Instream Flow Study
BIO-WEST conducted a preliminary evaluation of instream flows in the lower San Antonio River in Texas, which is home to at least 73 fish species.
During this study, fish-community dynamics and fish-habitat relationships were identified using a variety of sampling techniques. The associated hydrology and geomorphology of study reaches were also evaluated.
Data collected from this effort helped characterize current instream flow conditions within the lower San Antonio River watershed and contributed to future flow-management recommendations needed to sustain resident biological communities and ensure an adequate water supply for the future needs of all communities within the watershed.
